Founder & President
Karida learned how to knit immediately after finishing college, and fell in love. Hard. Enamored with knitting, she set out to create her own hand-dyed yarn business. She taught herself how to dye yarn and thus, NFC was born. Karida's love of bright and vibrant colors is what gives our yarn it's signature style. Nearly 11 years in the making, Karida is still our fearless leader.

Kristen taught herself how to knit her senior year of college from a book, and is best known for her speediness in finishing projects. It seems as though she is never not knitting! She loves her 00 needles more than anything. Kristen decided to leave the real world after taking a dye class with Karida, where she was bit with the indie-dyer bug. She started to volunteer at shows, and joined our team in the beginning of 2014. Kristen is the Bert to Karida's Ernie.

Astrid graduated in 2016 with her BFA in Fiber from MICA. Her mom taught her how to knit at the age of eight, but it wasn't until a few years ago that she started knitting seriously. Her current obsession is knitting socks two-at-a-time, which Kristen kindly taught her how to do. She also weaves in her free time on her floor loom and loves coming up with new colors for the NFC lineup and teaching dye classes. She joined the team in the spring of 2015 as a dye technician.
